Update 2: the company has sent me a new necklace that doesn’t seem to tarnish so far so I’m raising it to 3 stars instead of 1Update: necklace changed color/is tarnished after one day. Pendant too. Every day it gets worse. This is even after they replaced it with a new one. Very disappointed.So the box it comes in is super cute. The necklace itself is beautiful and looks like a beautiful pendant. My issues are two things: first, that the ring holding the pendant suspended is very flimsy and I am genuinely worried if it will be able to keep it secured to the necklace while I am walking. I really don’t want it to fall off so we’ll see. The other issue I have is that the inside plate that says “you are my sunshine” is scuffed. I took it out of the box and it was already scratched. I got it today and the moment I opened it I was shocked to see that it looked either oxidized or scratched. Upon further inspection I realized they were deep scratches. The camera doesn’t really capture the severity of the scratches. I imagine this happens from the sunflower that encases it rubbing against it during shipping or manufacturing.

When I showed this to my wife prior to purchasing, she warned me against buying it for my very picky 18 year old daughter. “You are My Sunshine” has been our song since she was born but I was hesitant to get this based on my wife’s warning. I decided to chance it and ordered this necklace. When I showed it to my daughter it brought tears to her eyes and she put it on immediately. She loves it! As further proof, when I popped in to surprise her at college one day, she answered the door and was wearing the necklace. She told me that she has received a lot of compliments and that she loves it because it goes with everything. It is not the fanciest or most ornate piece of jewelry but it looks very good and the sentimental value can’t be overstated. Highly recommend!

This necklace is for my grand daaughter whose name is Autumn Rae, thus we always called her our Autumn Rae of Sunshine and coincidentally she loves sunflowers, so this is perfect for her as she will be going off to college next fall and will have this gift to remind her what she means to me. Love the look of the necklace also, it is a Christmas gift so she hasn’t seen it yet, but I know she is going to like it.

I ordered this for my daughter. It is very cute and comes in a beautiful box. The first one broke after 3 days. The clasp just fell apart. The second one broke after 1 day, the sunflower that opens just snapped apart. It’s such a cute necklace and we are so disappointed that the quality is so low. Now my daughter is heartbroken that we have to return it for a second time.
